A Fireside Chat in Zurich

Last week we sent our chair, Matt O’Neill, to Zürich to take part in a fireside chat between him and Dr Paul Reading to provide the audience from Takeda with a patient and clinician perspective on Narcolepsy.

These opportunities are very important and impactful as they provide us the opportunity to reach an audience by sharing real examples of the daily challenges across relationships, work and the impact that narcolepsy has on overall quality of life.

Help with understanding the real life challenges that people with narcolepsy encounter from their diagnostic journey to managing their condition is very important and is a role that we are always very happy to fulfil.

Both Paul and Matt were able to engage in a relaxed conversation, followed by questions from the audience and we are grateful for them allocating their time to this.

When Narcolepsy UK are engaged with the pharmaceutical industry, the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Code of Practice sets out the requirements the industry must comply with and supports companies’ commitment to self-regulation and to operate in a professional, ethical and transparent manner. In practice, Narcolepsy UK must also engage within the code for the same reasons and this means we are unable to provide the detail of the meeting due to restrictions within the ABPI Code.

We will be sharing more in due course so stay tuned!
