Bequests
Many people consider giving a legacy to a charity when they write their will, particularly when they, or their family, have been helped by the charity.
Narcolepsy UK relies on the generosity of ordinary people, whether through direct donations, through fund raising events, or through legacies and bequests upon demise.
For information on how to write a will, see gov.uk. It’s easier than you think, and means we will be able to help even more people suffering from this debilitating life-long condition.
If you would like to leave a bequest to Narcolepsy UK, and you are updating your will, you can do so by adding the following text to your will.
“I give to Narcolepsy UK of Yew Tree House, The Shrubbery, Church Street, St Neots, PE19 2BU, whose registered company number is 07790071 (England and Wales) and charity numbers are SC043576 (Scotland) and 1144342 (England and Wales) free of all taxes and death duties the sum of £x (Write out the sum in words eg Five Hundred Pounds) absolutely. In the event that Narcolepsy UK has ceased to exist at my death, or is in the process of being dissolved or wound up, the gift will not fail, but my Trustees may, in their absolute discretion, pay it to such other charity with similar aims as they shall think fit.”
If you would like to receive some collection envelopes to enable a collection to be made at a service, these are available from the charity.
We continue to thank all whose generosity has helped Narcolepsy UK help so many people over the years.
