We did it! All the members of Team Jones/Allcutt completed their various challenges on April 23rd. Lewis reached the finish of the London Marathon in a very creditable 4hr 6min, while at The Longhorn in Sherwood Forest Steve ran the same distance just a few minutes slower, at 4hr 9min. Also at The Longhorn, Diana and Alison (half-marathon), Bridget (10k) and Dave, Anna and Madeleine (5k) all did well in their races.
So we really did clock up 150km in support of Narcolepsy UK. More importantly, our fundraising target has been reached and exceeded. The total is now just short of £6,000 (nearly £7,000 with Gift Aid), which means it has all been well worth the effort.
A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us – we never thought that we would raise quite so much. Some sponsorship is still coming in and if anyone would like to add to the total please visit our Virgin Money Giving page.
Meanwhile, in another fantastic fundraising effort, Francesca Hutt ran the Vienna Marathon and has raised well over £1,000. Thank you, Francesca! Francesca's Virgin Money Giving page is here.
