The Aviva Community Fund offers the chance for community projects to win funding. Narcolepsy UK are applying for funding for our Safe Swimming project. Successful applications are based on public voting, so your vote can make the difference!
Narcolepsy UK have teamed up with both the Royal Life Saving Society UK and Swimming Teachers’ Association to explore the best ways to improve the situation for both children and adults with narcolepsy wanting to access public swimming facilities safely. If successfully funded, this project will mean that children with narcolepsy will be allowed to take part in water-sports, instead of having to sit out and miss the fun. It will mean adults with narcolepsy will be able to make full use of their local swimming pool, with all the health and mental well-being that such activities offer.
Full information and details of the project application can be found by following this link.
